First steps
1~ Send over a copy of your book for me to go over, and if you haven't had the chance of hearing my work, I can send over a demo. If we both like what we see/hear, we can move forward! 2~ Contract, pricing, expectations, due dates, and anything else you may have a question about can be discussed. I prefer videocalling to avoid confusion, but communicating via email/Instagram also suffices. 3~Before recording begins, a brief description of tonal qualities of the main characters is requested. (I.E, soft, slow, gruff, flirty, haughty. Can also refer to people/characters: Madam Soloman, Howls Moving Castle. 3.a Then, you can either send a short monologue for each character for me to send back in the character voices for you to approve, or you can leave vocal interpretation up to me. This is to avoid me finishing a good chunk, and then you not liking the voice, and wish to request the characters voice to be redone. 4~ I will request audio samples of names and places to ensure my correct pronunciation throughout the book.

Pricing
Pricing is determined on a "book by book" basis, hence the need to read all of it beforehand. I use a formula given to me by my mentor, Stacy, who has been in book editing for +10 years. An estimate will be given that can be agreed upon or altered, based on what we wish to do regarding Royalties. I generally have the formula of flat rate+ 20% Royalties. Considerations such as length, number of characters, any special skills needed, and your marketing plan for once it's published are included.

Expectations for Author
I will send you rough edits of the audio files by chapters, usually in batchs of 10 chapters, whereupon you will approve before I finalize them. You will look out for pronounciations, serve as a double net for word perfection, but mostly to approve the character voices employed. Edits may be requested. Timely responses are appreciated, as sometimes I cannot move forward until I have your approval for what's been done. Once edits have been requested, I will adjust accordingly, add final layer of editing, and can 1~Send it to you to listen through one more time. 2~ Upload to the chosen platfrom 3~Send the finished files to you to listen through and upload.

~My standards include minimal "spice" and explicits. I understand that may look different for everyone, so if you're curious if your book qualifies, feel free to send it over anyway!
~I am mostly geared toward YA Christian Fantasy, but have done other generes as well, including gradeschool and dystopian.
~For publishing platforms, I am familiar with ACX and Findaway, but am more than happy to learn and accomodate to your preferance!
~Often times, this is a learning process for both of us, so don't hesitate to ask any questions! I lead with patients and compassion, something that I expect in return.
